This project started with the conversion of an existing garage into a spacious two bedroom two story house, in Columbia City in Seattle.

The interior of the house was also designed with fluidity in mind by carving a double story moment through the dynamic staircase, and by adding lots of pocket doors to encourage multi usage of the same space. Once closed, the ground floor dining area converts into a quiet office space or a guest room.

The exterior of the house was designed to extend the inside outside and as a spacious entertainment area. This includes a large shaded exterior dining area outside the kitchen and a large gathering area outside the living room.

The design allows for a large terrace on the second story to take advantage of the views of Lake Washington.
